Here, the gentle hands of caring and highly trained professionals help your baby into the world. Right in your suite, these caregivers have immediate access to the most advanced equipment and monitoring systems.

We offer eight combined labor, delivery and recovery rooms (LDRs) for vaginal birth. 24-hour obstetrical, neonatology, and anesthesia services are available in-house.

Typically, following delivery mother and baby share the same room for the duration of their hospital stay. This innovative postpartum care program called couplet care, ensuring that mothers' and babies' needs are addressed in concert, also allows new mothers to participate in their babies' early care and development.

Childbirth services at Huntington Hospital include Labor and Delivery, Postpartum Care, Fetal Surgery, a High-Risk Pregnancy Unit and access to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). We also offer a number of parent support services, which you can learn more about below.

Maternity Tours: In-person

In-Person Tour

Our Maternity Tour is designed to help you prepare for your birth at Huntington Hospital.

Information will be provided regarding our admission process and services, followed by a guided tour of the labor & delivery and postpartum areas.

This tour is free of charge and designed for expectant mothers and her support person.

Here’s some important information about the Maternity Tour:

  • The tour is free of charge.
  • Reservations are required. You can register for the tour online for a variety of dates and times.
  • Lasts approximately 1 ½ hours.
  • Held in Conference Room 5 & 6 in the West Tower next to the cafeteria.
  • Parking is available in the North Parking Lot located off of California Blvd. on the north side of the hospital and enter through the main lobby where you will receive a visitor pass. For more directions and parking information, visit our Find Us page.

Meet your care team

We know that peace of mind is important, so we have implemented a laborist program that offers around-the-clock support for pregnant women, their newborn babies and their families 365 days a year. The laborist program offers specialized obstetric services to ensure the very best, most timely care for expectant mothers. We have partnered with an OB Hospitalist group to ensure Board Certified OB/GYN obstetric hospitalists are on-site at all times to provides these services.
