Our Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Department is a fully integrated program specializing in neurological and orthopedic diagnoses. We provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services. For patients receiving multiple therapies, our rehabilitation services team utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach that best serves the patients’ needs. We also focus on working with family and caregivers to ensure that treatment can be continued at home for the best possible outcome.
We are proud to offer a variety of unique rehabilitation programs, including aquatic therapy, sports rehab, neurologic rehab, orthopedic rehab, clinical driving evaluations and training, and men’s and women’s rehab for pelvic floor issues.

What is Outpatient Rehabilitation?
Outpatient rehabilitation is often the next step after an inpatient hospitalization on the road to recovery. Outpatient rehabilitation teaches people who have become disabled as a result of trauma/injury, illness/disease or planned/unplanned surgery, how to make the most out of life – physically, mentally, and socially.
Our goal is to restore the highest level of functional ability of individuals and help them learn successful strategies in accomplishing activities of daily living, such as walking, dressing, communicating with others, and/or preparing a meal. Mastery of these types of skills allows our patients to become reintegrated into the home, workplace, and society as a whole.
Community Outreach Programs
We also offer community support programs that provide activities, assistance and information to people with disabilities and their caregivers.
- The Physical Therapy Department facilitates two group classes
- a low-impact exercise group on Wednesdays and Fridays at noon for individuals who need to maintain physical functionality, yet require a low-impact approach
- a group class designed to help people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease
- Our Speech Therapy Department conducts a weekly stroke support group for adults with speech and language impairment. This meeting provides education, social interaction and opportunities to improve communication skills for members and their caregivers.

Meet Our Team
We employ a professional staff of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. They provide highly skilled services addressing the rehabilitation needs of our outpatient community. This includes both assessment and treatment interventions, as well as patient/family/caregiver education to ensure an important step in the overall process – follow through at home – is also able to occur.
Our Orthopedic Rehabilitation Therapists
Jordan Perry graduated from the University of Southern California with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. He treats people with musculoskeletal injuries of the shoulders, spine, hips, knees and ankles. Jordan specializes in sport specific orthopedic injuries with an emphasis in endurance athletics—namely running and cycling. He also is fluent in Spanish.
In his free time Jordan loves traveling with his family. He enjoys almost anything that occurs outdoors but particularly hiking, camping, rock climbing, backpacking, running and mountain biking. He’s an avid endurance athlete and has competed in events around the world ranging from 5k’s and ultramarathons to Ironman triathlons.
Sarah Woodin received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2011. Sarah is a Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and has taught orthopedic manual therapy at USC. Prior to physical therapy school, Sarah enjoyed a career as a professional ballet dancer in New York City. She specializes in sports medicine and began her career working with dancers, ice skaters, volleyball and baseball players. She now enjoys treating patients of all ages, at all levels of fitness, for various orthopedic injuries and chronic pain.
Sarah enjoys yoga, hiking, gardening, and learning new recipes from her patients. Sarah is always looking for a good laugh and good food.
Marc Inamasu was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from the University of Southern California with both his BS in Kinesiology in 2007 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist as well as Titleist Performance Institute Certified. He specializes in treating various orthopedic, post-surgical and sports specific injuries.
In his time off Marc enjoys traveling, trying new foods, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is also a devoted USC football and Dodger fan.
Katie Beeton graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2012. She specializes in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. She has a interest in injuries involving the shoulder after recovering from shoulder surgery herself.
Katie enjoys spending time with her two kids and husband. During her free time she likes to swim, walk and do yoga/pilates.
Jay Villanueva graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from California State University, Northridge in 2000. He became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2006, and Jay had that certification for 10 years. Jay is an orthopedic physical therapist who specializes in movement dysfunction and sport specific injuries. He is a manual therapist, and he takes a biomechanical approach to his treatments.
Outside of the clinical setting, Jay is an endurance athlete who has completed multiple marathons, multiple 1/2 Ironman triathlons, and one Ironman triathlon. He enjoys water activities such as paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming, and surfing. He also enjoys traveling to various destinations to see the world.
Michael Parkinson graduated from UCSF in 1990 with his Physical Therapy certificate after previously studying kinesiology and doing biomechanic graduate work at UCLA. His specialties include treating shoulders and the lower extremities, especially when working with runners. He also currently works as the PT Coordinator in the clinic.
Michael has been very involved in the community coaching cross country and baseball as well as working with a local Boy Scout troop. He is an avid runner, hiker, backpacker, rock hound, coin collector, science nut, nature lover, Dodger/Laker fan, Track and Field nut, and 10th generation Californian.
Jimmy Gargollo obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 from Chapman University after his undergraduate education from the Ohio State University. As a board certified orthopedic specialist, Jimmy specializes in treating a variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions ranging from post surgical orthopedic care, weekend warrior type injuries, men’s health, and athletic performance optimization. His treatment philosophy fosters active engagement of his patients to participate in their care through application of evidence based interventions including manual therapy and progressive exercise prescription to restore normal function and achieve rehabilitative goals.
When not in the clinic, Jimmy seeks to travel and explore far flung places around the world to catch sunrises and sunsets with a camera in hand, while sipping coffee and trying out local cuisines.
Carol Beblawi is a life enthusiast who grew up all over the Middle East with her missionary parents. She came to Southern California as a teenager. When not at work, Carol enjoys mentoring high school students, hiking the beautiful mountains of the western United States, and traveling internationally with her husband and three daughters. Carol graduated with a master’s degree in physical therapy from California State University, Northridge in 2011, and with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin in 1998. Carol enjoys treating patients with orthopedic disorders, headaches/migraines, vestibular disorders, as well as rehabilitating geriatric related weakness and balance impairments.
Melanie Goya graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2012 with a BA in Integrative Biology and the University of Southern California in 2016 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She then completed an orthopedic residency program at Healthcare Partners in 2017 and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2018. Melanie enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions across the lifespan, and uses a personalized treatment plan to allow her patients to reach their goals.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two kitties. If not at the beach playing volleyball, you can find her relaxing and enjoying the greenery in Hawaii.
Megan Choe graduated with a B.S. from Boston University and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2017. She specializes in treating musculoskeletal injuries for patients of all ages, including post-surgical rehabilitation and sports specific injuries. Megan also treats female pelvic floor with focus in pelvic pain, peripartum care and bowel, bladder and sexual function.
Megan speaks conversational Mandarin. She enjoys running and lagree fitness. When not working, Megan likes to be outdoors, travel with her husband and try new foods.
Paul Chang received his B.A. from UCLA and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2016. He received additional training in the management of orthopedic conditions through the Healthcare Partners Orthopedic Residency which he completed in 2017 and has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2018. He currently serves as adjunct faculty at the Mount Saint Mary’s University Doctoral PT program. Paul primarily specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction, sports-specific injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Additionally, he has extensive experience in the treatment of vestibular disorders. He is fluent in Korean.
Paul’s hobbies include supporting his Lakers, exploring local eateries, hiking, playing the guitar, and spending time with his friends and family.
Julie graduated from Chapman University, where she obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020 and is a certified lymphedema therapist. She focuses her treatment in patients with pelvic-related challenges and lymphatic disorders. Her pelvic health treatment areas include bladder and bowel dysfunction, peri- and postpartum care, and pelvic pain in both female and male patients.
Julie is passionate about her work and enjoys the opportunity to help improve patients’ function and quality of life through the care continuum. In her spare time, she enjoys being active and challenging herself with resistance training and HIIT workout classes. Outside of fitness-activities, Julie enjoys experiences involving food and her loved ones.
Kevin Cheung graduated from the University of Southern California with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. He works with patients across the age spectrum and treats musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, shoulders, lower back, hips, knees, and foot/ankle. He has also worked extensively with sports specific orthopedic injuries, particularly those associated with HIIT training, martial arts, and weekend warrior activities.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys reading/listening to fantasy and sci-fi books, hanging out and working out (usually together) with friends, as well as trying to better understand human interactions via participating in them frequently as time and circumstances permit.
Pamela Lubbe graduated from St. Mary’s Jr College in Minneapolis, MN in 1982 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree and Physical Therapist Assistant credentials. Pam has worked in all areas of the PT field-Acute Rehab, inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, nursing homes, and home health. She has been certified in Parkinson’s BIG, speaks some Spanish and has worked at Huntington Hospital for over 22 years. She enjoys watching sports, traveling, being a servant to her cat, and wine tasting.
Blair Chang graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. She then became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2018. Blair specializes in musculoskeletal injuries, sprains, and strains of the neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees, foot and ankle; as well as orthopedic post-surgical rehabilitation and sport specific prehab and rehab.
Blair is an avid outdoor enthusiast and has over 10 years of experience in rock climbing (specifically bouldering), cycling, hiking, camping, and backpacking. Prior to a decade of outdoor adventures Blair played competitive basketball as a youth and an adult.
Richard Arias, PTA, graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Richard then completed his education in 2020 when he received his associates degree from Cerritos College as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Richard has over three years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care rehabilitation and home health. Richard holds a CSCS certification, and is Graston 1&2 Certified. Richard enjoys working alongside patients in their rehabilitation journey and being a part of their progress. In the future, Richard would love to become a full-time instructor for a physical therapy assistant program. This upcoming year Richard strives to become a certified clinical instructor and purchase his first home. When Richard isn’t continuing his education he enjoys golfing, hiking, playing drums, spending time with his family, building legos, and visiting National Parks.
Our Neuro Rehabilitation Therapists
Megan Kwon graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. She completed her neurologic residency at Precision Rehabilitation in Long Beach and received her board certification in Neurology. Megan loves treating this population and is experienced working with people diagnosed with Spinal Cord injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Bell’s Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Vestibular disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Spinal Muscular Atrophy, among others. Megan attends national conferences and participates in local events supporting neurological disorders. She believes that promoting independence and a new understanding of normal are key to recovery.
When not treating patients, Megan enjoys cooking, reading and vegetable gardening.
Wing Sheung (Julia) Masulis graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist with special interest and certification in vestibular rehabilitation addressing vertigo and balance impairment. She is also a certified therapist for treatment for Parkinson’s Disease.
Born in Hong Kong, Julia is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. She is a mother of two young boys; when she has time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, watching Asian TV shows and trying out limited-edition snacks.
Sue Schinke graduated from Cal State University, Long Beach in 1983. She started working at Huntington Hospital in 1984. She worked in the acute orthopedic unit and the acute rehab unit for several years. She has been in the out patient department for the past 20 years. She especially enjoys working with the geriatric population helping patients who are recovering from stroke, Parkinson’s Disease or acute orthopedic surgeries.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, wine tasting on the Central Coast, and spending time with their twin boys.
Kerry Fraser has been a physical therapist at Huntington Hospital since graduating from USC 25 years ago. She works with people who have a variety of diagnoses including stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and dizziness. She has received training in PWR! or Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery, and is certified in LSVT BIG treatment for people with Parkinson’s Disease. When not at work she enjoys time with her family, running, and gardening.

Tammy Uliantzeff graduated from the Universidad de Chile, Santiago Chile in 1977 with a degree in Kinesiology. She became a State Board certified PT in California in 1980 and has worked at Huntington Hospital since 1983. After many years treating orthopedic injuries, Tammy became certified treating lymphatic disorders. Tammy also specializes in pelvic floor conditions, TMJ disorders, Bell’s Palsy, headaches and uses Cranio Sacral Therapy.
Tammy speaks English, Spanish, German and Russian. She also teaches German Kindergarten and is a teacher’s assistant for the Upledger and Hermann and Wallace Institutes. She is also a La Leche League leader and a German Kindergarten teacher. In her free time she enjoys her family, her dog, her garden, hiking and travel.

John Takemura graduated from the University of California with his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1994. His primary role is to manage the department, but he also takes time to work with Men’s Pelvic Health patients as well as a handful of orthopedic patients.
In his free time, John enjoys traveling with his wife and doing small projects around the house. Many years were also spent supporting youth sports with his children heavily involved in basketball, both as a coach and spectator.

Our Occupational Therapists
Monica Sullivan graduated from USC School of Occupational Therapy in 1981. She has worked in multiple areas of OT Including in-patient rehab, home health, acute care and most recently specialized and became certified in hand therapy. She has worked at Huntington Hospital O.P. hand program for the past 14 years. She is fluent in Spanish.
In her free time Monica enjoys traveling and all things outdoors–skiing, hiking, backpacking, camping and gardening
Jacquelyn (Jackie) Chipot has been an Occupational Therapist since 1984. She went to UCSB for undergraduate school followed by USC for graduate school in Occupational Therapy. Jackie is a certified hand therapist and has many years of experience in treating both upper extremity and hand injuries. In addition she has extensive experience working with clients who have functional deficits from neurological conditions. Jackie is a Pasadena native and a lifelong swimmer.
Jeri Miller is a long time veteran of Huntington. After graduating from UCLA in psychobiology, she pivoted to USC for a masters in occupational therapy. Since 1979, Huntington has been her home base. She has years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation, as well as both inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. For many years, she also coordinated the OT student intern program. Her specialty of choice is hand therapy and innovative splinting. As a certified hand therapist since 1992, she shortly thereafter created Huntington’s hand therapy program.
Away from work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and staying active. She is also an avid sports fan. (Go Bruins! Go Lakers!)
Priscilla Gim graduated from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with her doctorate in occupational therapy in 2021. She specializes in neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, and Parkinson’s Disease. She is certified in LSVT-BIG and Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR!) to help people with their specific needs with Parkinson’s Disease. In 2023, she became a certified Neuro-IFRAH clinician to better serve the population with stroke by restoring their functions. She has experience in treating patients with stroke in all levels of care including acute care, ICU, acute rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient.
Our Lymphedema Management Therapists
Lyle Hanf graduated from the MGH Institute for Health Professions in Boston, MA in 2018. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and also treats general orthopedic conditions. In her free time, Lyle enjoys cooking, walking her dog, travelling and hiking in the local mountains. She and her husband also love discovering new places to eat in the LA area.
Jennifer has been in the Physical Therapy field for more than 20 years and has specialized in neuro patients early in her career and has seen a variety of diagnoses. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and primarily cancer and lymphedema patients.

Our Speech Therapists
Amy Bowman
Amy Bowman received her Master’s in Communicative Disorders with Honors and has been working at Huntington since 2007. She treats common voice issues as well as pre and post op voice complications. She is LSVT LOUD® and SpeakOut® certified for treatment of Parkinson’s disease. She performs all outpatient video fluoroscopic swallow studies for evaluation of swallowing disorders as well as treatment for dysphagia. She works with Huntington’s Cancer Center for pre-radiation consultation and post surgical and chemo-radiation intervention for treatment for head and neck cancers. In addition, she works on the outpatient neuro team for intervention for stroke, brain injury and other cognitive-linguistic deficits in need of intervention for aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, mild-cognitive impairment and dysphagia.
Lily Schneiderman
Lily Schneiderman received her Masters in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 2016. She completed her Clinical Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital before moving to Los Angeles. She specializes in acquired brain injury and neurological disorders affecting speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. Lily is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and is a certified provider of the Speak OUT! program for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Lily attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and trained with the Salzburg Ballet, Ballet Met, and the Houston Ballet. She enjoys dancing, exploring the great outdoors, and baking.
Brittany Chau
Brittany Chau received her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from San Diego State University, CA in 2019. She previously worked at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego where she worked with both pediatric and adult populations in both an outpatient and inpatient rehab facilities prior to relocating to Los Angeles. Brittany has had experience working with both the pediatric and adult populations, however, her main areas of interest include treatment of voice disorders, neurological disorders affecting speech, language, and cognition following strokes and/or brain injuries, and orofacial myofunctional therapy disorders.

Location
We are located at 630 S. Raymond Ave. Suite 120/340, Pasadena. Underground parking is available with entrance off of Pico Street. Cost is $3 with partial validation. Limited street parking can also be found on Raymond Avenue and Pico Street but be sure to check signage for restrictions.
Insurance
We accept all major private insurances, as well as Medicare, Medi-Cal, Worker’s Compensation, HMO’s (with pre-authorization), and self-pay patients.
Please note: referrals are required. All new patients are required to have a valid prescription/order from a licensed California physician prior to their evaluation. The dated prescription should include the patient’s name, diagnosis, discipline(s) of therapy needed, and intended duration and frequency. The patient’s initial evaluation should be performed within thirty days from the date on the prescription.
Jordan Perry graduated from the University of Southern California with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. He treats people with musculoskeletal injuries of the shoulders, spine, hips, knees and ankles. Jordan specializes in sport specific orthopedic injuries with an emphasis in endurance athletics—namely running and cycling. He also is fluent in Spanish.
In his free time Jordan loves traveling with his family. He enjoys almost anything that occurs outdoors but particularly hiking, camping, rock climbing, backpacking, running and mountain biking. He’s an avid endurance athlete and has competed in events around the world ranging from 5k’s and ultramarathons to Ironman triathlons.
Sarah Woodin received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2011. Sarah is a Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and has taught orthopedic manual therapy at USC. Prior to physical therapy school, Sarah enjoyed a career as a professional ballet dancer in New York City. She specializes in sports medicine and began her career working with dancers, ice skaters, volleyball and baseball players. She now enjoys treating patients of all ages, at all levels of fitness, for various orthopedic injuries and chronic pain.
Sarah enjoys yoga, hiking, gardening, and learning new recipes from her patients. Sarah is always looking for a good laugh and good food.
Katie Beeton graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2012. She specializes in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. She has a interest in injuries involving the shoulder after recovering from shoulder surgery herself.
Katie enjoys spending time with her two kids and husband. During her free time she likes to swim, walk and do yoga/pilates.
Blair Chang graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. She then became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2018. Blair specializes in musculoskeletal injuries, sprains, and strains of the neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees, foot and ankle; as well as orthopedic post-surgical rehabilitation and sport specific prehab and rehab.
Blair is an avid outdoor enthusiast and has over 10 years of experience in rock climbing (specifically bouldering), cycling, hiking, camping, and backpacking. Prior to a decade of outdoor adventures Blair played competitive basketball as a youth and an adult.
Pamela Lubbe graduated from St. Mary’s Jr College in Minneapolis, MN in 1982 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree and Physical Therapist Assistant credentials. Pam has worked in all areas of the PT field-Acute Rehab, inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, nursing homes, and home health. She has been certified in Parkinson’s BIG, speaks some Spanish and has worked at Huntington Hospital for over 22 years. She enjoys watching sports, traveling, being a servant to her cat, and wine tasting.
Megan Kwon graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. She completed her neurologic residency at Precision Rehabilitation in Long Beach and received her board certification in Neurology. Megan loves treating this population and is experienced working with people diagnosed with Spinal Cord injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Bell’s Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Vestibular disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Spinal Muscular Atrophy, among others. Megan attends national conferences and participates in local events supporting neurological disorders. She believes that promoting independence and a new understanding of normal are key to recovery.
When not treating patients, Megan enjoys cooking, reading and vegetable gardening.
Marc Inamasu was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from the University of Southern California with both his BS in Kinesiology in 2007 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist as well as Titleist Performance Institute Certified. He specializes in treating various orthopedic, post-surgical and sports specific injuries.
In his time off Marc enjoys traveling, trying new foods, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is also a devoted USC football and Dodger fan.
Wing Sheung (Julia) Masulis graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist with special interest and certification in vestibular rehabilitation addressing vertigo and balance impairment. She is also a certified therapist for treatment for Parkinson’s Disease.
Born in Hong Kong, Julia is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. She is a mother of two young boys; when she has time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, watching Asian TV shows and trying out limited-edition snacks.
Lyle Hanf graduated from the MGH Institute for Health Professions in Boston, MA in 2018. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and also treats general orthopedic conditions. In her free time, Lyle enjoys cooking, walking her dog, travelling and hiking in the local mountains. She and her husband also love discovering new places to eat in the LA area.
Eileen Inagaki graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010. She specializes in acute care and neurological diagnoses (stroke, vestibular disorders, and Parkinson’s Disease).
In her free time, Eileen enjoys music and dance.
Jay Villanueva graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from California State University, Northridge in 2000. He became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2006, and Jay had that certification for 10 years. Jay is an orthopedic physical therapist who specializes in movement dysfunction and sport specific injuries. He is a manual therapist, and he takes a biomechanical approach to his treatments.
Outside of the clinical setting, Jay is an endurance athlete who has completed multiple marathons, multiple 1/2 Ironman triathlons, and one Ironman triathlon. He enjoys water activities such as paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming, and surfing. He also enjoys traveling to various destinations to see the world.
Sue Schinke graduated from Cal State University, Long Beach in 1983. She started working at Huntington Hospital in 1984. She worked in the acute orthopedic unit and the acute rehab unit for several years. She has been in the out patient department for the past 20 years. She especially enjoys working with the geriatric population helping patients who are recovering from stroke, Parkinson’s Disease or acute orthopedic surgeries.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, wine tasting on the Central Coast, and spending time with their twin boys.
Melanie Goya graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2012 with a BA in Integrative Biology and the University of Southern California in 2016 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She then completed an orthopedic residency program at Healthcare Partners in 2017 and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2018. Melanie enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions across the lifespan, and uses a personalized treatment plan to allow her patients to reach their goals.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two kitties. If not at the beach playing volleyball, you can find her relaxing and enjoying the greenery in Hawaii.
John Takemura graduated from the University of California with his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1994. His primary role is to manage the department, but he also takes time to work with Men’s Pelvic Health patients as well as a handful of orthopedic patients.
In his free time, John enjoys traveling with his wife and doing small projects around the house. Many years were also spent supporting youth sports with his children heavily involved in basketball, both as a coach and spectator.
Jennifer has been in the Physical Therapy field for more than 20 years and has specialized in neuro patients early in her career and has seen a variety of diagnoses. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and primarily cancer and lymphedema patients.
Amy Bowman received her Master’s in Communicative Disorders with Honors and has been working at Huntington since 2007. She treats common voice issues as well as pre and post op voice complications. She is LSVT LOUD® and SpeakOut® certified for treatment of Parkinson’s disease. She performs all outpatient video fluoroscopic swallow studies for evaluation of swallowing disorders as well as treatment for dysphagia. She works with Huntington’s Cancer Center for pre-radiation consultation and post surgical and chemo-radiation intervention for treatment for head and neck cancers. In addition, she works on the outpatient neuro team for intervention for stroke, brain injury and other cognitive-linguistic deficits in need of intervention for aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, mild-cognitive impairment and dysphagia.
Priscilla Gim graduated from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with her doctorate in occupational therapy in 2021. She specializes in neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, and Parkinson’s Disease. She is certified in LSVT-BIG and Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR!) to help people with their specific needs with Parkinson’s Disease. In 2023, she became a certified Neuro-IFRAH clinician to better serve the population with stroke by restoring their functions. She has experience in treating patients with stroke in all levels of care including acute care, ICU, acute rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient.
Michael Parkinson graduated from UCSF in 1990 with his Physical Therapy certificate after previously studying kinesiology and doing biomechanic graduate work at UCLA. His specialties include treating shoulders and the lower extremities, especially when working with runners. He also currently works as the PT Coordinator in the clinic.
Michael has been very involved in the community coaching cross country and baseball as well as working with a local Boy Scout troop. He is an avid runner, hiker, backpacker, rock hound, coin collector, science nut, nature lover, Dodger/Laker fan, Track and Field nut, and 10th generation Californian.
Carol Beblawi is a life enthusiast who grew up all over the Middle East with her missionary parents. She came to Southern California as a teenager. When not at work, Carol enjoys mentoring high school students, hiking the beautiful mountains of the western United States, and traveling internationally with her husband and three daughters. Carol graduated with a master’s degree in physical therapy from California State University, Northridge in 2011, and with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin in 1998. Carol enjoys treating patients with orthopedic disorders, headaches/migraines, vestibular disorders, as well as rehabilitating geriatric related weakness and balance impairments.
Megan Choe graduated with a B.S. from Boston University and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2017. She specializes in treating musculoskeletal injuries for patients of all ages, including post-surgical rehabilitation and sports specific injuries. Megan also treats female pelvic floor with focus in pelvic pain, peripartum care and bowel, bladder and sexual function.
Megan speaks conversational Mandarin. She enjoys running and lagree fitness. When not working, Megan likes to be outdoors, travel with her husband and try new foods.
Kerry Fraser has been a physical therapist at Huntington Hospital since graduating from USC 25 years ago. She works with people who have a variety of diagnoses including stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and dizziness. She has received training in PWR! or Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery, and is certified in LSVT BIG treatment for people with Parkinson’s Disease. When not at work she enjoys time with her family, running, and gardening.
Tammy Uliantzeff graduated from the Universidad de Chile, Santiago Chile in 1977 with a degree in Kinesiology. She became a State Board certified PT in California in 1980 and has worked at Huntington Hospital since 1983. After many years treating orthopedic injuries, Tammy became certified treating lymphatic disorders. Tammy also specializes in pelvic floor conditions, TMJ disorders, Bell’s Palsy, headaches and uses Cranio Sacral Therapy.
Tammy speaks English, Spanish, German and Russian. She also teaches German Kindergarten and is a teacher’s assistant for the Upledger and Hermann and Wallace Institutes. She is also a La Leche League leader and a German Kindergarten teacher. In her free time she enjoys her family, her dog, her garden, hiking and travel.
Jimmy Gargollo obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 from Chapman University after his undergraduate education from the Ohio State University. As a board certified orthopedic specialist, Jimmy specializes in treating a variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions ranging from post surgical orthopedic care, weekend warrior type injuries, men’s health, and athletic performance optimization. His treatment philosophy fosters active engagement of his patients to participate in their care through application of evidence based interventions including manual therapy and progressive exercise prescription to restore normal function and achieve rehabilitative goals.
When not in the clinic, Jimmy seeks to travel and explore far flung places around the world to catch sunrises and sunsets with a camera in hand, while sipping coffee and trying out local cuisines.
Richard Arias, PTA, graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Richard then completed his education in 2020 when he received his associates degree from Cerritos College as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Richard has over three years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care rehabilitation and home health. Richard holds a CSCS certification, and is Graston 1&2 Certified. Richard enjoys working alongside patients in their rehabilitation journey and being a part of their progress. In the future, Richard would love to become a full-time instructor for a physical therapy assistant program. This upcoming year Richard strives to become a certified clinical instructor and purchase his first home. When Richard isn’t continuing his education he enjoys golfing, hiking, playing drums, spending time with his family, building legos, and visiting National Parks.
Brittany Chau received her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from San Diego State University, CA in 2019. She previously worked at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego where she worked with both pediatric and adult populations in both an outpatient and inpatient rehab facilities prior to relocating to Los Angeles. Brittany has had experience working with both the pediatric and adult populations, however, her main areas of interest include treatment of voice disorders, neurological disorders affecting speech, language, and cognition following strokes and/or brain injuries, and orofacial myofunctional therapy disorders.
