We offer a wide range of Internal Medicine and Surgery Clerkships. Students work under the direct supervision of the attending physician, as well as the resident(s) assigned to the rotation.
The application period for clerkship rotations offered from August 2020 – May 2021 is now closed.
The application period for clerkship rotations offered from August 2021 – May 2022 will begin on February 1, 2021 and close on June 30, 2021. Applications submitted before February 1st will not be accepted, and will need to be re-submitted on or after February 1st for consideration.

Acceptance notifications: Rotation acceptance notifications are sent out in April. Due to the high amount of applications, only the students that have been accepted into the program will be notified. Please note, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic rotation acceptance notifications may be delayed.
International applicants/Observerships: We do not have an observership program or accept international medical students for any of our clerkship rotations.
Parking: Student parking is provided for rotators.
Housing: We do not provide or have access to student housing.
Alternate schedule requests: Due to the high amount of applications each academic year, dates of the rotations are specified and alternate schedules will NOT be considered.

Internal Medicine Clerkship
We accept fourth year medical students only for participation in our Internal Medicine rotations.

General Surgery Clerkship
The surgical clerkship at Huntington Hospital offers a broad exposure in general surgery as practiced in a large community hospital.
Surgical Clerkships offered to fourth year medical students from U.S. Medical schools are:
- General Surgery I
- General Surgery II

- A copy of your transcripts (unofficial or official)
- Class Standing (from Program Coordinator/Registrar’s Office if available)
