Dr. Arbi Ohanian honored with Stroke Hero Award from the American Stroke Association

Arbi Ohanian, MDArbi Ohanian, MD, medical director of Huntington Memorial Hospital’s Primary Stroke Center, was recently honored with the American Stroke Association’s Stroke Hero Award. Dr. Ohanian received this award after being nominated by Tammy Rocker, American Heart Association Senior Vice Present.

“We are proud to honor Dr. Arbi Ohanian with the Stroke Hero Awards for his exemplary service supporting stroke survivors as they work to beat stroke,” said Ms. Rocker. “The American Stroke Association’s Stroke Hero Award recognizes stroke champions who go above and beyond to fight stroke, a leading cause of long-term disability and the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. Dr. Ohanian exemplifies the true spirit of this award. He helps patients not only survive a stroke but also live a full, productive life after a stroke. We are especially grateful for his support of Saving Strokes which helps survivors get back in the game of life through golf rehabilitation.”
