Resident Stipends and Benefits: 2019-2020
The benefits and salaries provided are effective July 1, 2019. They are
subject to review and may be revised at the end of the program year.
PGY I: $57,636 | PGY II: $60,361 | PGY III: $63,502 | PGY IV: $66,768 |

Huntington Hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical,
dental, and vision at no cost for the resident and a nominal fee for family.
Additional benefits include flexible spending reimbursement account and

Malpractice coverage is provided for residents while on duty in the hospital
or on approved rotations at participating institutions.
Each resident receives four weeks of paid vacation.

to apply for the California Medical License and subsequently the DEA license.
Both licenses are required and reimbursed by the program. Graduates of
US medical schools cannot begin their third year of training without a
valid California Medical License. Residents who graduate from foreign
medical schools are required to apply for the California Medical License
upon completion of 24 months of training and cannot begin their fourth
year of training without a valid California Medical License. Once licensed,
the resident can apply for their DEA, which is also reimbursed by the program.
