Nursing Shared Decision Councils.
The Shared Governance model provides an opportunity for Huntington Hospital
nurses to share ideas, solve problems and makes decisions in matters that
impact their work. Shared Governance also improves the lines of communication
between units and other departments, resulting in better care for the patients.
The Shared Governance structure:
- Advances nursing excellence.
- Provides leadership development for RNs through involvement in decision-making
about nursing practice.
- Empowers all nurses to engage by contributing to work redesign.
- Improves the quality of care to patient and families.
Clinical Nurse Recognition Program.
The Clinical Nurse Recognition Program is based on Huntington Hospital’s
mission and core values, and the ANCC Magnet ® Domains. The goal of
the program is to recognize the professional excellence of Huntington
Hospital nurses and their desire to provide the best care to our community.
