"Pasadena Goes Pink" kick-off event brings breast cancer awareness to the community

October 5, 2016

For the past six years, Pasadena Fire Department has partnered with Huntington Hospital during October to bring awareness to breast cancer with "Pasadena Goes Pink" fundraisers.

This year, the first event was held on October 2, with a walk around the Rose Bowl. Basecamp Fitness led a warm up before the walk began and Corepower Yoga led a cool down, after the walk, at Brookside Park. A health and wellness reception was also hosted at Brookside Park with a bounce house, free samples, raffle and prizes.

At the next event, on October 19, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Pasadena Fire Department will be on the corners of Lave Ave.@ Cordova St. and Foothill Blvd.@ Rosemead Blvd. in Pasadena, asking for donations to “fill the pink boot.”

These events, and additional events throughout the month, all benefit the Jim and Eleanor Randall Breast Center. Thank you to the Pasadena Fire Department for their ongoing support!
