Pet Assisted Therapy brings comfort and relief to patients, visitors and staff at Huntington Hospital

January 4, 2016

Pasadena Outlook recently featured a cover story (below) about Huntington Hospital's Pet Assisted Therapy Program (PAT). PAT teams visit patients, visitors and staff every day, bringing relief and joy to each department of the hospital. We were the second acute-care hospital in the country to start a PAT program, and are grateful to the dedicated volunteers and their furry companions for comforting our patients for the past 26 years!

Specially trained volunteers and dogs are available to visit patients in all units (except maternity). Patients can request a PAT visit throughout the hospital, seven days a week.
