Huntington Memorial Hospital has again been ranked among the top hospitals
in the region by
U.S. News & World Report. The annual
Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 25th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating
patients who need an especially high level of care.
Huntington Hospital was named one of the “Best Hospitals” overall
in California and one of the ten best hospitals in the greater Los Angeles
area out of 140 hospitals in the market. In addition to the regional rankings,
Huntington Hospital was noted to be “high performing” in ten
diabetes and endocrinology,
gastroenterology and GI surgery,
neurology and neurosurgery,
“Being named a Best Hospital is a tribute to our employees, medical
staff, volunteers, donors, and everyone who puts patient care first,”
said Stephen A. Ralph, CEO at Huntington Hospital.
U.S. News publishes “Best Hospitals” to help guide patients who need
a high level of care because they face particularly a difficult surgery,
a challenging condition, or extra risk because of age or multiple health
problems. Objective measures such as patient survival and safety data,
the adequacy of nurse staffing levels, and other data largely determined
the rankings in most specialties.

U.S. News “Best Hospitals 2015” guidebook, available in August.
