Huntington Memorial Hospital Earns Silver in Healthyroads "Fit Company" Employer Wellness Awards

Healthyroads Fit Company Award® program. The Healthyroads Fit Company Award recognizes organizations nationwide that demonstrate their commitment to improving the overall health and fitness of their employees by offering exceptional employee wellness programs and benefits.

Huntington Hospital’s recognition demonstrates that improving health is not just a service the hospital provides patients, it’s a philosophy that touches every employee through a comprehensive employee wellness program called Wellness PATH. Serving more than 3,000 employees, Huntington’s Wellness PATH has led to improved health conditions and lifestyle management in approximately 80 percent of the measures that the hospital tracks through personal health assessments (PHAs) and biometric screenings.

“The Wellness PATH’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of Huntington employees through health education and programs that support positive lifestyle changes,” said Gina Imbrenda, director, Total Rewards and HRIS. “The name PATH, which stands for Participate Actively Toward Health, recognizes that each employee has unique needs and preferences regarding how they reach their optimal levels of health; the program allows them to choose their own path.”

Huntington Memorial Hospital’s wellness program is made available through Healthyroads Inc. a subsidiary of American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH). ASH is one of the nation’s leading providers of employer population health programs.

Judges included leading wellness experts from ASH and top-ranked organizations outside of ASH.
