Huntington Memorial Hospital provides expert treatment for our youngest patients. Our 25-bed pediatric unit is supervised by a house-based pediatrician, 24-hours-a-day, 7 days a week.
Huntington Hospital is home to the only regional neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the San Gabriel Valley. Our 51-bed NICU – supervised by an in-house neonatologist – provides care for the highest acuity infants, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and nitric oxide treatment for babies with severely compromised lungs.
The hospital has a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), with 8 beds dedicated exclusively to children with the highest level of acuity.
Both NICU and PICU services have emergency transport service available by helicopter and ambulance, 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. NICU and PICU programs offer social work services and a Ronald McDonald house is conveniently located directly across the street.
Our parent support services include weekly meetings to provide camaraderie and mentorship to families in need of extra support.
The prestigious Huntington Hospital team consists of a full array of specially trained pediatric experts including neonatologists, intensivists, house-based pediatricians, pediatric nurses, respiratory therapists, a dedicated social worker, child-life specialist and pediatric general surgeons.
