Nursing research and innovation.
Research is a systematic approach to answering questions and a disciplined
method for solving problems based on objective evidence.
At Huntington Hospital, we believe research is an essential component of
pursuing quality patient care and outcomes, as well as nursing excellence.
We build on the legacy of Florence Nightingale, a pioneering nurse engaged
in research who was elected to membership of the Statistical Society of
England. Our nurses contribute to clinical research by identifying clinical
questions, and are encouraged to engage in scientific inquiry and conduct
practice-based research in partnership with a nursing research expert.
Conducting, evaluating and then applying results from nursing research
advances the care we deliver and enables nurses to make critical differences
in the lives of our patients, their families and within our community.
